In this week’s Theatre Channel News, Cabaret enters a bold new era at the Kit Kat Club with fresh casting from May 29 and a special 1,500th performance gala on July 7. Paddington Bear makes his musical debut this autumn in Paddington The Musical at the Savoy, with original songs by Tom Fletcher and a heartwarming journey packed with marmalade. Over at the Duchess Theatre, The Play That Goes Wrong continues its unstoppable run with a brand-new cast and bookings now open through August 2026. The Olivier Award-winning Fiddler on the Roof returns to the Barbican this summer with final casting announced, while Broadway hit Shucked heads to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from May 10, bringing big laughs and even more corn. Britpop’s most iconic rivalry gets the stage treatment in The Battle, a punchy new comedy about Blur vs. Oasis, premiering in 2026. And finally, the long-awaited Soho Theatre Walthamstow opens its doors on May 2 with Natalie Palamides: WEER, launching a vibrant programme of comedy, theatre, and cabaret in the beautifully restored 1930s Granada.
