4. what information do we collect?

When you use this website, please bear in mind that we may record:

The areas of the website that you visit; and information about your device, such as which browser you are using, your network location, the type of connection you are using (e.g. broadband, ADSL etc.) and your IP address. if you create an account or subscribe, some personal information such as gender and date of birth – so we can send recommendations tailored to you. Once you register or log in or submit information through our website we will know who you are and your activities on this website and information about you and/or your company may be recorded on our systems. We may receive information about you and your activities on and off The Theatre Channel from third-party partners, such as information from a partner when we jointly offer services. Third party cookies may be delivered to you and the third-party cookies may be used to provide a more targeted advertising experience both on and off of The Theatre Channel, including via platforms including Google and Facebook. We do not store your billing address, billing country or any payment information – this is held securely by the payment processor who is fully PCI compliant. We may also ask for payment information, i.e. the details of the payment card you are using to pay for any products/services. This type of information is processed strictly in accordance with relevant payment card industry standards.

Where a purchase is made via in app purchase, this will be used in the app purchase mechanisms via Apple, Google, Amazon, and Roku.

5. what do we do with the information we collect?

Under the GDPR, we must always have a lawful basis for using personal data. We use this information for a number of different reasons. The main reason we use this information is to provide you with the website and our products and services (whether available via the website or offline). We also use the information for:

We would like to provide you with information about The Theatre Channel's products and services, and other information which we think you may find interesting. We may send you such information by post, email and/or telephone unless you have asked us not to do so.

If you are a customer of ours, have signed up to receive The Theatre Channel emails or have previously asked us for information on our products and services, we may send you information by email. However, in every marketing email message we send you we will give you the opportunity to unsubscribe from our mailings altogether.

We do not provide your personal identifiable information to external organisations (i.e. outside of the Company) for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

We may share your personal information with third party companies who help us provide and improve our services or who use advertising or related products, which makes it possible to operate our company.

If you have purchased access to a ticketed event provided in partnership with a non-profit (or similar) arts organisation partnership, we may share your name and email address with them for their own marketing purposes, provided you have opted in to the marketing consent form on the account sign up page.

We want our advertising to be as relevant and engaging as the other information you find on The Theatre Channel. With this in mind, we use all of the information we have about you to show you relevant ads.
