The Theatre Channel
Own Growth. Build Partnerships. Drive Revenue.
The Theatre Channel is the UK’s digital home for theatre lovers — delivering interviews, live broadcasts, original programming, news, reviews and premium content through Theatre Channel+.
We work with producers, performers, theatres and brands to celebrate and amplify the industry. Now, as we scale, we’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing & Sales Manager to help drive our next phase of growth.
This is not a passive marketing role.
This is a revenue-driving, performance-focused position with real impact.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead two core areas of the business:
Digital media sales & partnerships
Digital marketing performance & audience growth
You will play a central role in increasing advertising revenue, building agency and producer relationships, optimising paid campaigns, and improving conversion to Theatre Channel+.
If you thrive on results, ownership and commercial thinking — this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Media Sales & Partnerships
Building and maintaining relationships with theatre marketing teams, producers and agencies.
Identifying and securing advertising and brand partnership opportunities.
Creating tailored sales proposals aligned with advertiser objectives.

Updating the media deck with current performance data.
Reporting revenue performance and forecasts to the board.
Representing The Theatre Channel at industry events.
Digital Marketing & Growth
Planning and executing digital campaigns across email, social and paid platforms.
Managing and optimising Meta and Google Ads campaigns.
Improving user funnels and conversion to Theatre Channel+.
Analysing audience behaviour and campaign performance.
Implementing SEO best practices.
Monitoring website performance and analytics.
Ensuring website content remains accurate, engaging and brand-aligned.
Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in digital media sales and/or partnership development.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and performance metrics.
Experience running and optimising paid advertising campaigns.
A commercially driven mindset — comfortable being accountable for revenue.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills and experience managing pipelines.
Confidence presenting performance insights to leadership.
An interest in theatre and live entertainment is highly desirable.
Why Join Us?
Flexible freelance structure.
Direct impact on the growth of a fast-scaling media platform.
Opportunity to shape commercial strategy, not just execute tasks.
Work at the intersection of theatre, media and digital innovation.
